Come learn about our government, how to get involved, and have some fun on Friday November 18th at College Republican’s RCAD. Have fun in the cavern as you show off you knowledge by playing government jeopardy for fantastic prizes including an IPAD. Show off your creativity and political prowess by designing your own campaign sign in the lower atrium. Make your voice heard by signing our issues banner in the atrium. Finally enter to win a Kindle by either registering to vote or by bringing your voter registration card. Comedian Amy Schumer’s Saturday appearance at Roanoke College has been cancelled.
Her show is rescheduled for Jan. 21, 2012 at 8 p.m. at Roanoke’s Colket Center Wortmann Ballroom.
Tickets are $5 for the general public.

Upcoming elections
SGA is where a student’s voice can be heard, where decisions and changes are made that impact the entire campus community. Through Student Government significant policies are orchestrated to assist students in their endeavors both academic and social. My hope is that we will have a very successful year in the Senate, which cannot be done without you.
Please complete the Information Sheet and submit it along with a brief campaign statement (200 words or less) and 25 signatures by November 18th, 2011 at 4pm in The Office Student Affairs. WOMEN’S SOCCER
This Saturday at 7:30 p.m. come to the Cavern in the Colket Center to watch the women’s soccer first round NCAA Tournament match against Centre College!!! Come between the hours 7:30 and 9:00 p.m. and receive a FREE basket of FOOD provided by the Cavern.
Roanoke College Women’s Soccer earned a bid on Monday to the NCAA Div. III Tournament for the third time in program-history. The Maroons, who are 14-5-1 on the year, earned an at-large bid for the second time in four years. The tournament matches for the first two rounds will be held on the campus of Emory University in Atlanta, GA this weekend.
The Maroons will take on Centre College (14-4-2) from Kentucky on Saturday, Nov. 12 at 7:30 p.m.
Centre finished third overall in the SCAC behind only No. 3 Trinity and Birmingham Southern. The Colonels advanced to the championship match of the conference tournament but fell 4-0 to Trinity. This will be Centre’s second appearance in the NCAA Tournament. The Colonels fell 1-0 to Denison in the first round of their first appearance in 2008.
