In response to “How is the school workload looking like as Thanksgiving break is coming up?
Sarah Vincent ‘27 said, “If it was a weather forecast, I’d be getting Maroon Alerts by the hour, let’s just say that. It’s that horrendous time of year where your professor makes every single paper due and throws in a cute little exam to make you question whether this is worth the debt you’re taking on or not. I slept 8 hours because I got really sick and considered that a really nice vacation. My final paper has more required pages than the number of days we get off for Thanksgiving break. My calendar looks like a Funfetti cake worth of color-coded tasks.”
In response to “What is your favorite Thanksgiving memory?”
Coco Banuelos Alvarez ‘26 said, “My favorite Thanksgiving memory would be the time I went to Mexico. I had pizza for Thanksgiving dinner instead of turkey.”
In response to “What are your family traditions for this season?”
Jim Nichols ‘25 said, “Usually, my dad and a few of my uncles will do a turkey hunt and everyone comes over. Sometimes we watch football as a family, but that’s kind of it. We don’t have much of
a real ‘tradition,’ but everyone comes together and gets to catch up. It gets a little busy, but it’s a great time! We usually grill things as well; everyone cooks and brings it together. I’m usually the one grilling things and everyone hangs around the grill.”
