Working Through Midterms

by Marisa Seager

The countdown to Fall Break has officially started but that also means so has the countdown for midterms. Assignments, bigger projects, and anxiety are piling up.

As excited as I am for a much-needed break, I am not ready for midterms by any means. This time is nothing but stressful for myself and many other students at the college.

The only way to get through it is to push through. Of course, this is a lot easier said than done but it’s true.

Around this time especially, the best place to start is with a list. First, I’ll write down all assignments along with their due dates. Then, I’ll create a schedule or some type of plan to get it all done over a period of time to avoid procrastination. This might sound tedious but it can be a lot easier to get things done when you know exactly what you have to do, when to do things by, and when you will make the time for it.

On the bright side, you will be rewarded with a short break and you will have the peace of knowing the semester is halfway over. This is my senior year so I’m especially excited to know how close I am getting to the end of my school years.

So yes, midterms are near but I have to get through them first in order to get to Fall Break. We will all get through them one way or another and onto break. Good luck Maroons!
