The moment we have all been waiting for is finally here: the release of “Bridgerton” Season Two!
“Bridgerton” is a series on Netflix based on a famous book series. The show is set in the early 1800s Regency period in London, and it follows the Bridgerton family throughout each social season. The objective of each character is to marry in order to find love, happiness and wealth.
Much like the books, each season follows a different member of the Bridgerton family.
In the first season, it was all about Daphne Bridgerton. She was determined to find a husband that she genuinely loved and to advance in society. Her season was full of glamorous balls and addicting scandals! The first season would be difficult to beat with the consuming love story of Simon (the Duke) and Daphne (the diamond of the season). However, season two may be even better than the first.
It is all about Anthony Bridgerton and his devotion to finding a wife that checks all the boxes. In the first season, Anthony was not profoundly serious about being the head of his household. Now burdened with the weight of his responsibility, he enters the social season. The romance in Anthony’s story is the very definition of tension. No one was expecting an enemy to lover’s trope in this season, but it was extremely well executed. The hate and intrigue between Anthony and Kate are intoxicating for viewers to watch. Definitely a season worth binging in a day!
