More hearts dropped than can be counted when Kavanaugh was appointed supreme court justice, and more hearts than I want to count either fluttered or felt nothing. The reality that we are so willing to support a rapist is just as terrifying as it is telling. Voting in Kavanaugh is one massive “screw you” to victims of sexual assault, as well as to all minorities who do not have the wealthy, white, Georgetown Prep/Yale privilege to get out of punishment so scotch free, pitied, and in a place of more power than ever.
Put your politics where your mouth is. If you support Kavanaugh, or politicians who support Kavanaugh, I do not believe that your interests truly lay in empowering women, survivors of sexual assault, and POC. And I don’t think you really believe you do either.
