As Halloween creeps closer, activities on campus are beginning to grow spookier and even more unsettling than ever before. Some students say that they’re too terrifying, but rest assured, mustering up your courage to attend these campus events will give you the thrill of your life!
First up we have the Beetlejuice Bash, happening Friday, October 25th. The event will be screening the Beetlejuice movie to commemorate the spooky season on the Back Quad, running through 7:00PM-9:00PM with the movie starting at 7:15PM. Popcorn and candy will be provided during the event, so make sure to invite a group of friends to join you and indulge in free, delicious food in the cool outdoors. Just make sure not to trip on a couple of sandworms on your way there.
Following up a day after on Saturday, October 26th, the mysterious Escape Room event will occur. Its theme is “Escape the Haunted Mansion,” taking place in Colket’s Ballroom from 7:00PM-10:00PM. If you dare to enter, you must go to the Info Desk in Colket’s first floor and sign-up on one of the many 30-minute time slots; each session holding a maximum of 20 participants. These spaces are scarce, so make sure you and other fellow paranormal investigators sign-up as soon as possible before all the slots are filled! The premise opens with you and your ghost hunter colleagues receiving a quest to investigate a grim haunted mansion, the resting place of the once cheerful Jones family. With a fuzzy history, frightened neighbors claim their spirits roam and curse the mansion’s halls, taking the lives of all who enter. As you carry limited documented information and a full moon hanging high, you bravely enter the facility until danger strikes. Now with limited time to spare, you must work together to solve the treacherous puzzles and mysteries behind the family’s death…or die trying.
