The Witcher is a Netflix series based on the books written by Andrzej Sapkowski. It follows the main character Geralt as he travels through a fantasy land full of monsters. Along the way, he forms an unlikely friendship with Yennefer, a sorceress, and Ciri, a young princess. The three become a found family and fight off any sort of monster they meet within their travels. It is a series full of action and adventure. Fans love the world building that was put into this series. However, much controversy has been brought up over the sudden change in casting of Geralt.
Henry Cavill carried this series with his amazing performance of Geralt for the past two seasons. It has been confirmed that season three will be his last time playing the Witcher. In his stead, Liam Hemsworth will be stepping in. Liam Hemsworth is known widely for playing Gale from The Hunger Games movie series. Hemsworth has a lot of experience starring in block buster films. However, The Witcher fans are having a hard time with this transition. Many have said they are not happy with this change. It is said that The Witcher will have a season four which will star Liam Hemsworth as Geralt. Fans are upset that season three will be the last time we see Henry Cavill as Geralt. Although many were shocked by this news, people still remain optimistic that this change will not affect the quality of the series. Keep a look out for season three of The Witcher being released in summer of 2023!
