Time really does fly when you’re having fun! Seniors, it’s hard to believe that you’ve spent four whole years at Roanoke with four unique years filled with memories. Here are some of the biggest events during your time at RC. 

 

-August 27th, 2016: Move-In Day, the day that started it all!

-Fall 2016: The Cregger Center Opening

-Fall 2016: Waka Flaka Concert

-Spring 2016: Campus Activities Board hosts the first annual “Roanoke’s Got Talent” competition 

-Fall 2017: The return of NCAA DIII swimming to Roanoke Athletics

-Fall 2017: Roanoke turns 175 years old!

-Fall 2017: Whale Concert

-Fall 2017: Dedication of the Rooney Topiary

-Fall 2017: Dedication of the Bank Building

-Spring 2018: God the Mother cult comes to RC

-Fall 2018: Major floods on campus

-Fall 2018:White Panda and Asher Roth Concert

-Fall 2019: B.o.B Concert

-Fall 2019: Tibetan Monks visit campus for a week

-Fall 2019: L.L. Bean BootMobile visits campus

-Spring 2020: COVID-19 outbreak sends students home for the spring semester

-Major Speakers: Chelsea Clinton (Fall 2016), Rev. Jesse Jackson (Fall 2017), Amanda Knox (Spring 2018), Beth Macy (Spring 2019), and Monica Lewinsky (Spring 2020)

 

Over the course of your four years at Roanoke, you’ve experienced a whirlwind of exciting events, from a new fitness center to a global pandemic. You, the Class of 2020, were here for it all, and these memories are the stepping stones for the exciting adventures you have waiting ahead for you. Seniors, may you always look back on your time at Dear Old Roanoke with joy in your hearts. We look forward to celebrating you at your graduation in the near future and for your first Alumni Weekend scheduled for April 16-18, 2021.
