Stranger Things
This Halloween you should expect to see a lot of costumes inspired by Netflix’s Stranger Things. With its third season premiering this past July and the popularity it has achieved, there isn’t any doubt that people will want to pay homage. There are sure to be a few couple costumes with Joyce and Hopper, Mike and Eleven, or even Steve and Robin. Friend groups might combine together to form the central friend group. There might even be a bold tall person that opts to dress as the Demogorgon itself.
Joker/Pennywise
Oh boy, there will be a hefty number of clowns out there, and I’m not talking about your ex. With the box office success of both It: Chapter 2 and Joker, it is fair to say clowns are in this year. Not the creepy circus clowns from your nightmares, but an alien clown in Derry, Maine named Pennywise. You’ll see some stellar homemade costumes and some scarier than Skarsgård’s own costume (you know the one). If alien clowns aren’t enough, there will also be a handful of Joker fans paying homage to their favorite version- whether it be Ledger, Leto, Nicholson, or newcomer Phoenix.
White Claws
That’s right, everyone’s favorite hard seltzer is sure to come to life this Halloween at numerous frat houses. “White Claw Summer” gained a lot of attention throughout the internet and drinking community as a whole. There are sure to be a lot of people wanting to showcase their love for friendship and the drink as they get together to each be a different type of can in their own six pack. While many might roll their eyes at this thought, just remember: ain’t no laws when dressing as Claws.
