RC Alumni Make Their Musical Debut Online

Written by Jessica Shelburne

Joe Simme and Holden Branham are two recent graduates from RC that have paired up to create their own music, better known as SimmeBranham Productions with the motto, “two country boys out to share our love of music and humor.”

What began as a simple idea that Simme and Branham joked about during a road trip eventually blossomed into an Instagram page with over 800 followers and weekly covers of songs from numerous genres. Sunday’s normally involve a Christian song, while Tuesday’s incorporate new features.

Notably, the duo has recently collaborated with current RC junior, Veronica Nordyke, which has brought a change of pace to their usual covers, with the addition of a couple Colbie Caillat songs.

The beautiful harmony and synchronization found in each music video is developed by aligning a video recording of the singer to the instrumental track of the song using a video-editing software.

“I gain joy from doing this because I’ve always loved music but never took the time to pursue it,” Simme said. “I honestly didn’t realize people would enjoy it this much and that I would have so much fun doing it. We give God the glory because He gave us the pipes.”

The duo welcomes song requests and encourages anyone interested in a potential opportunity to be featured to direct message their Instagram account (@simmebranham).
