Women’s Soccer-
After going unbeaten for over three weeks, our Women’s soccer team saw a disappointing end to their season in a 1-0 defeat in the quarterfinals of the ODAC Tournament.
Men’s Soccer-
After winning their final home game of the season, the Men’s soccer team won their quarterfinal matchup before falling in the semifinals to Washington and Lee.
Field Hockey-
After riding a five-game winning streak into the ODAC Tournament, the Field Hockey team defeated their quarterfinal foe, Randolph-Macon, 1-0 to advance to the semifinals where they lost to Lynchburg. The team finished 12-4 on the year and only saw one loss on home turf.
Volleyball-
The Lady Maroons fell to Virginia Wesleyan in the ODAC Quarterfinals after coming off of a strong season.
Cross Country
The Men’s and Women’s Cross Country teams competed in the ODAC championships a few weekends ago. The women’s team finished in seventh place with the top Maroon runner finishing in 28th. In their ODAC appearance our Men’s team took fourth place out of eleven teams overall. The team saw five runners finish in the top 25 and will look to continue their good run in Georgia during the NCAA Regional Championships.
Swimming-
As your GPA has been sinking in recent weeks, the swim teams have been rising to the top. The team has now gained four straight wins including a key victory over Randolph-Macon. Seven school record have fallen so far in the season, and the number will only rise as the team gets stronger.
Basketball-
After a heartbreaking end to last season the Men’s basketball team enters the new year ranked #1 in the ODAC preseason poll. The season starts this weekend and the Maroons return home for their first home game toward the end of next week. The lady Maroons begin their season this weekend before returning next Saturday for their home opener.
