Sigma Chi Brothers Face Hypothermia During Fundraising Attempts

Written by Joseph Krzyston

In news that might not shock any consummate observers of the back quad, three cold, wet brothers of the Sigma Chi fraternity were plucked from the icy waters of a dunk tank this week after a springtime charity event was made troublesome by the cold, windy conditions.

“Yeah, we definitely thought it was going to be warmer,” said one shivering Sig. “We’re raising money for charity, but at this point it’s become a game for survival. We might get in trouble with the hazing people, which is crazy because we didn’t even mean to do this. I swear we thought it would be warm by now.”

The fraternity, which is raising money for the Huntsman Cancer Foundation, is now considering a follow-up fundraiser for whatever charity does research concerning hypothermia and drying off efficiently. Regarding their future plans for fundraising, the brothers say they aren’t sure what they’ll do for the next one, but it sure as hell won’t involve water in April.
