We are back into the full swing of the spring semester and students are getting back into the groove. The library is getting fuller, and the study sessions are getting longer. With all this new bustling energy comes the need for a balance between working habits and personal habits. In this article, we take a look at some of the ways Roanoke College students are staying happy, healthy, and in control.
In response to “Do you have any home remedies you live by for a cold or illness?”
Chase Rieve ’28 said, “A great remedy for a cold that I follow is to eat chicken ramen, watch Grey’s Anatomy, and lay with my cats.”
In response to “What are some tips for keeping your room tidy as assignments start piling up?”
Hollis Bartlett ’26 said, “The way I usually keep my room tidy while assignments pile up is to consider my room as a leisure space, and I will do all my homework elsewhere, like the library or the common room of my dorm. It keeps me both on track and it leaves my room clear of clutter from my assignments.”
In response to “What are some things you do to keep yourself on track of assignments?
Raven Stow ’27 said, “I have a white board with a daily schedule and all assignments I need to complete. I also schedule breaks so that the work doesn’t become too overwhelming. It is all about finding a balance and making time for yourself”
