The Fintel Library is a resource that all students benefit from. Whether drinking a warm coffee from Rooney’s while working on assignments or finding books that you need for your classes or homework, there’s something for everyone. Fintel Library has it all, and this holiday season it also has some fun Christmas films available for you to rent!
If you are interested in a comedic actor such as Jim Carrey, look no further than “Dr. Seuss’ How the Grinch Stole Christmas”. This movie is a classic and enjoyed by many, so make sure to snatch it before someone else rents it! The Grinch might not be in the holiday spirit, but that doesn’t mean you have to hide away in your cave!
Speaking of hiding away, finals may make you into a hermit crab who wants to stay “Home Alone” in your room or the library. I recommend picking up this 1990s movie, grabbing some snacks and candy from CAV, and meeting your friends to have some de-stressing time by watching Kevin McCallister stress over being forgotten at home.
Those first two recommendations are available here at the college, but that doesn’t mean we can’t get other movies into our hands. For those who may not know, Fintel Library allows you to request books and movies from Hollins University! All you have to do is go to the Fintel Library website, sign in, find a movie you like, and request it.
“A Nightmare Before Christmas” and “The Polar Express” are two movies available at Hollins for you to request! If you are more into animated films that remind you of your childhood, then you should definitely take a look at these options. Finding the time to sit back and watch a movie can seem hard to do because of the amount of work we have next week. But it’s also important for your mental health to take a moment to relax. Then, after the end of the semester, we can fully embrace the holiday spirit! Happy Holidays Maroons.
