An unseen performance by Rihanna will be showcased in the 2023 Super Bowl. This is a huge deal because, in 2019, Rihanna was asked to be the headline of the Super Bowl but refused because of the NFL’s treatment of Colin Kaepernick, who kneeled down for the protest against police brutality against black and brown people. Many people thought Taylor Swift would be the headline this year, but she stated that she will not perform this year because she is rewriting all of her music. As many people know Swift wanted to buy her music from when she first started but the record companies that produced her music told her no. This is also making a huge impact in the world and is very inspirational. The Super Bowl has been sponsored by Pepsi for a decade and recently changed its sponsorship to Apple Music. This is also another factor why Swift could not perform at the halftime show, she is sponsored by Diet Coke, and she wouldn’t be able to perform due to her contact. Rihanna as the headliner will definitely bring in big names such as Eminem who performed last year and made a pose for the same reason as Colin Kaepernick. We can also expect Kanye West, Drake, Kendrick Lamar, Coldplay, and all sorts of people that she has collaborated with. This halftime show is going to be talked about for a while, and let’s face it, Rihanna knows how to make an amazing performance. She will be performing many of her hit songs such as, We Found Love, Umbrella, S.O.S, and many other hit songs. So all football fans, music fans, or entertainment fans in general grab your popcorn and make sure to tune in because this halftime show is going to be one for the decades.
