Women’s Lacrosse Gains National Recognition

After being ranked 25th in the Intercollegiate Women’s Lacrosse Coaches Association Division III Poll, the women’s lacrosse team has been on a roll in conference play. The team has dominated the Old Dominion Athletic Conference so far this season, losing only to Washington & Lee and Meredith College this year. The team is averaging 16.5 goals per game, 31.9 shots per game, and is currently . Their most recent game against Randolph College brought the Maroons a 26-3 victory for their conference final game of the regular season. Led by senior attack Ellie Armstrong and junior midfield Lilly Blair with 5 goals and 3 goals, respectively. Against the Wildcats the Maroons were able to show their depth with 15 different goalscorers. The team is set to play Salisbury University on Saturday, April 24th. This will be the team’s final matchup before heading into the ODAC Playoffs where they are expected to take a top seed.
