Grace Robinson, a junior from Concord, NC:
“There is a popular analogy about burning the candle at both ends. Well, at this point in the semester, there is no more candle. Assignments are piling up higher and higher and my motivation and energy level is getting lower and lower. Friends at other universities are wrapping up finals and we have four more weeks with no break or end in sight. The term “burnt-out” does not cover what we are feeling anymore. Uncoordinated break days are not very helpful as I find myself still working or in class. I am thankful for friends, staff, and counseling services who have provided much needed support to lean on as we all crawl towards the finish line of the semester.”
