22 Things… That Represent “An Epic Love”

I am now freshly 22-year-old, and unless something crazy happens, this is my last semester writing for the Brackety-Ack. 🙁 With that, I decided it would be fun for my final column to be “22 Things…” where I can sometimes share advice, list my favorites, or give some insight. With Valentine’s Day right around the corner, I thought I’d share 22 things that show an epic or “true” love. 

1. Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively- Hands down my favorite celebrity couple. 
2. The smile on a couple’s faces when they’re truly happy- The look of true love! 
3. How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days- If you’ve watched this rom-com you know what I mean. If you haven’t, then this probably doesn’t make sense. 
4. Valentine’s Day- A woman I worked with last year, came in on Valentine’s Day in a dress with hearts and a bouquet of roses were waiting at her desk. 
5. John Legend-You can’t top “All of Me.” 
6. The Notebook- Noah and Allie are the epitome of true love. 
7. Hidden notes- I think this speaks to me in particular because my mom would always hide a note in my lunch box as a kid (and a high schooler). 
8. Weddings- I cry at every. single. one! 
9. Never Let Me Go by Florence + The Machine- If you’re a OTH or TVD fan, you know EXACTLY what I’m talking about! 
10. Russell Wilson and Ciara- Truly a power couple if I ever saw one. 
11. Old, married couples- How epic is it to grow old and grey together?!
12. Roses- Nothing says love like a bouquet of roses. 
13. Bridgerton- ex.1: when Daphne and Simon’s hands briefly touch while looking at the paintings, ex.2: “I burn for you.” 
14. Playground weddings between elementary schoolers- How naive, how young, and how adorable. 
15. Stories of how couples met- Cue the “aww”s. 
16. Meredith and Derek, Lexie and Mark- Try to name a better pair than these two to exemplify soul mates. 
17. First date jitters- Young love! 
18. Nicholas Sparks books- The king of romantic novels. 
19. Splitting a dessert- How cute is it to share a piece of dessert with someone you love? 
20. Laughing so hard you stop breathing- Do you ever catch a couple laughing at something so hard that it makes you feel their love?  
21. Jake Scott- This new-ish artist has some of the sweetest love songs I’ve heard recently. 
22. Bubble wrap- AKA the most thoughtful and creative gift ever if you know your SO had a stressful day
