It’s been 6 months since ex-royals Meghan Markle and Prince Harry left their cozy England castle for a more humble and moderate lifestyle in the United States. Everyone has been wondering what these two have been up to and what exactly they plan to do in order to survive in their new environment.
Unfortunately, the talk of a Netflix-based reality TV show centered on the couple is just a rumor. The rumors began in England and the U.S., but representatives of the couple quickly shot the rumors down. It was said that they had signed a 3-month agreement allowing cameras to follow them in their day-to-day lives and to “see all the charity work they do.” However, since the couple left England due to the out-of-control paparazzi, it would not make sense for them to allow those same type of people into their new home.
There has been much uncertainty and speculation about whether the ex-royals are making a living or if they can’t find work, bankrupt already or still semi-rich, staying in the U.S. compared to going back to their family and home in England, and much more. The decision to leave was made by both parties for their respective reasons. Harry’s reason was more personal. He saw what his mother Diana went through with the paparazzi and did not want his wife and children in the same toxic environment.
The shutdown of the reality show rumors is good news for those in the royal community who are still watching the ex-royals closely. Since most magazine headlines said the couple left on a bad note, those in power in the monarchy had slight concerns about what the couple would say to television studios.
The only reality the world will see from the ex-royals is what they release and what they want the world to see. For now, Markle and her prince are mostly staying out of the public eye and doing all the charity work they can.
