We here at the Brackety-Ack strive to highlight Maroons of the highest caliber. The young woman who graces this issue of Folks at Noke has been selected for several honor committees, held several leadership roles, and has a work ethic that rivals that of Jacob in commons. I’m talking about the President of Chi Omega, Kelsey McCluskey!
Kelsey is a senior here at Roanoke College. Originally from Morristown, New Jersey, Kelsey has made herself at home here in Sunny Salem. She is a Communications Major with a Concentration in Human Resource Management. Kelsey is back on campus here at ‘Noke and has been working at the Information Desk helping the school get ready to bring other members of the student body back to campus. McCluskey also works as an Admissions Student Assistant!
Kelsey stayed busy over the summer with an internship at Delta Dental. Now that she’s back at school she’s looking forward to responsibly enjoying campus life. She’s especially excited to see her friends Kaelyn Spickler and Lexi Ruckman, and she’d like to give them a shoutout! She is also a Sweetheart of Pi Lambda Phi Fraternity and she’s looking forward to the Silent Disco taking place on campus that they’re sponsoring.
When asked if she had any special senior year bucket list goals she answered, “I really want to go line dancing at Sidewinder’s before I graduate.”
Kelsey is a distinguished student who’s hard work has been recognized by several organizations. She is a member of the Order of Omega, a Greek honor’s society. She’s also in the national leadership honor society, Omicron Delta Kappa. McCluskey is also a member of Sigma Alpha Pi, Alpha Lambda Delta, and the National Communications Association.
When the Brackety-Ack asked if she had any pearls of wisdom to give to the Freshman class she responded with this, ”Join anything you think you may be interested in, then figure out what exactly you like and stick to it.”
Kelsey McCluskey is a Maroon to remember. If you ever need a top tier communicator and leader, then Kelsey is someone you should consider.
