Dear Class of 2020,
The end of the semester came quicker than any of us anticipated. All of our hearts go out to you as right now it may seem like so much has been taken away from your experience at Roanoke College, but I hope you see all that you have accomplished and all that you have earned. I hope you appreciate the friendships formed here at Roanoke, the support provided from your family along with the faculty and staff here, and I hope you see how far you’ve come in the last four years. I hope you cherish the memories you have made, recognize everything you have accomplished, and celebrate where you are now while looking forward to what’s ahead.
There are so many good times ahead as this chapter closes and a new one begins. In this new chapter, remember that time is short, and sometimes you may not know when the chapter is ending. Make the most out of every page and every sentence. Make the most out of every word and live your life to the fullest. Take advantage of the opportunities headed your way, and please don’t forget to come back and visit any chance you get!
On behalf of the Brackety-Ack staff, I would like to congratulate you on four incredible years. During this time, you have researched uncharted areas, broken athletic records, sent students across the world on Fulbright scholarships, surpassed the Roanoke Rising Campaign’s fundraising goal, welcomed changes like the opening of Cregger Center and the Bank Building, and overcome challenges- just like you will with the challenge at hand. You have set the bar high and been great role models for us underclassmen to follow.
Graduation is right around the corner, and I look forward to the opportunity to celebrate all of you. We will make sure it’s the best celebration this college has seen, because you deserve it.
Here’s to you, class of 2020- we wish you nothing but the best!
