Our women’s softball team (10-7, 0-2 ODAC) had a fruitful spring break this season, capitalizing on a long trip down to sunny Florida. They had a schedule that was jam
packed with games, but the team was able to capitalize on the change of scenery and bring home a 10-3 record. In a complete team effort, the Maroons found themselves off to a fantastic start to their season. During the week, the team was able to escape
for a day and visit Disney World for team bonding. To round out the the week, the Maroons hosted Greensboro on Sunday and ended up splitting the tally. The first game was won 5-3 with two runs provided by Anna Clowdis while Teresa Wagner earned the
win on the mound, throwing four strikeouts and allowing just three runs. The second
matchup ended in a 6-5 defeat.
Coming up, the Maroons face off against Southern Virginia and Randolph in double headers on Friday 22nd and Saturday the 23rd. Come out and support the team at home on Saturday in a crucial ODAC matchup.
