RC will be hosting its very own Drag Ball for the first time in years, on April 6 at 7:30 p.m. The event will be hosted by local Drag Queen Enya Salad, featuring Mister and Miss Roanoke Pride Anton Black and Aria Vain. Other participants in the Ball include Holly Whatt, Ophella Diamond, and The LAMBDA Alliance, a multicultural organization that focuses on the acceptance of sexual diversity, is hosting the event.
Members of the club and students at large are very excited to host these fashion divas once again on campus. LAMBDA sees this event as a great opportunity for students to immerse themselves in an otherwise esoteric aspect of modern day society.
Admission is free for any student with a Roanoke College ID, and $5 without. All proceeds will be donated to a local LGBT+ youth program. Tickets are required and can be found at the Information Desk in the Colket Center.
For information about other LGBT+ events being held on campus, the LAMBDA club meets every Sunday at 8 p.m. in the Garrett Media Room.
