I’m All In (Casino Night: November 21st in Bast)

Ready to experience a taste of Vegas right here in Roanoke? Then prepare for the night of November 21st, in the Bast Gymnasium (that’s tonight, if you are reading this day of publication!) Let your wallet have no fears, as this Casino Night does not wager your actual money, but students are instead given tokens they can spend in the classic Casino style: card games like Poker, Blackjack, Roulette, slots, and even prizes to be earned using your winnings! The prizes can be anything from a gift basket to gift cards, or even a new pair of headphones, so go take a gambit and really make a name for yourself there.

The event this year is organized by International Education, which has been leading the whole week of International Education Week. The night of the event will be an exciting and jovial close to the week they’ve led. If you see any members or people who helped organize this week and the Casino night, be sure to thank them!

The Night will also feature different foods to keep your head level so you can make the best plays. Keeping the atmosphere lively, the guests can enjoy the band Latin Clave, local to the Roanoke area. In terms of dress, black tie is not required, but it sure would be a good opportunity to get dressed up in your finest fits and process fancily to the event as you rack up prizes.

If you aren’t able to attend this year, fret not, as the event is recurring, and is sure to continue in the coming years. And, if your luck runs dry this time, it wouldn’t hurt to go again; nothing is at stake after all! And even if you came home with winnings the previously, go ahead and try to keep up your streak: “I can’t stop winning!”
