Cross Country: This weekend the men’s and women’s cross country teams will take off to compete in the Louisville Cross Country Classic.
Golf: The men took 8th place in their second tournament, the Tom Kinder Memorial Golf Tournament. Out of 17 teams, Roanoke placed 8th. An impressive performance by Cameron Dillion landed him in third place on the leaderboard. Up next, the Maroons host a tournament at the Blacksburg Country Club on the 14th and 15th.
Field Hockey: The Field Hockey team (7-3, 0-0 ODAC) had an outstanding performance against Southern Virginia this week, winning 8-0 with six different Maroons finding the back of the cage. Upcoming, the Maroons travel to face their first ODAC competition of the season against Washington and Lee on Saturday at 11am.
Men’s Soccer: Men’s Soccer (8-0-2, 0-0-1 ODAC) continue to reign in the victories. The post an undefeated record heading into a long seven game stretch, including all ODAC competition. The team travels this week and next, but will return home to play during fall break against Shennadoah and Randolf on the 12th and 16th, respectively.
Women’s Soccer: The Women’s Soccer team (7-2-1, 1-0 ODAC) is also entering the gauntlet of ODAC competition. Coming off a 1-0 win against Virginia Wesleyan, the team is set to play nine straight conference matchups. On Friday the 4th, they take on Shenandoah at 7pm.
Volleyball: Women’s Volleyball (8-9, 2-4 ODAC) are going back and forth swapping wins and losses in their latest stretch. Upcoming, the Maroons travel to face off against Randolph and Mary Baldwin on Tuesday and Thursday, both at 7pm
Swimming: The preseason polls are out for the men’s and women’s swim teams and they both came in strongly at No. 2. The men ranked 2nd with 88 points and the women ranked 2nd with 128 points.
