Women’s Soccer-
The Lady Maroons saw a perfect send-off on their senior day with a 12-0 win over Sweet Briar. The Maroons then moved their unbeaten run to six with 5-0 win on Tuesday over Emory & Henry. With ODACs around the corner, they hope for success as they look to remain in the top five of the conference.
Men’s Soccer-
After a six-match unbeaten run stretching back to September, the Men’s Soccer team finally saw a defeat before Wednesday’s home match. Their Cancer Awareness game against Bridgewater saw a 1-0 win as they head into ODACs in the top five in the conference standings.
Field Hockey-
Our Field Hockey team has already racked up five wins in what has been a great month for the team. They hope to shoot up the standings even more in their last few games and finish amongst the top teams in the conference.
Volleyball-
With only one game remaining in the regular season, our very own volleyball team hopes to keep their good month of play going, heading into ODACs. On Wednesday the team saw a victory away at Methodist and hope to finish the season strong against Greensboro on Monday.
Cross-Country-
As the rest of us drove home for Fall Break, the Men’s and Women’s Cross Country teams were finishing their regular season at the Gettysburg Invitational. The culmination of their hard work will take place this weekend, as they run off to the ODAC Championships in Winchester, Va.
Golf-
The Maroons that look for birdies and eagles instead of maroon-tailed hawks finished their Fall schedule this week at The O’Briant-Jensen Tournament in Greensboro, NC. The team ranked 18th in a field that was packed with nationally ranked talent. This finish came only a week after the team’s 14th place finish at the Sleepy Hollow Golf Course in Suffolk, Va.
