Some events on campus may slip through your fingers from time to time. College life is busy, between working a part time job, writing essays, studying for exams, and more. Sometimes the fun is pushed down on your list. If you are really bummed out about missing some of this, I am here to tell you about events you, probably, won’t have to miss since they are recurring!
The one that may immediately come to mind for people is: Theologies on Tap (or TOT for regulars). This is a fun nighttime event to kick off your week. Enjoy free drinks and an appetizer as you debate deep, fun questions with your friends. TOT is on Mondays, from 9-10 p.m. at Mac and Bob’s so you are able to make a quick walk to and back. If classes are in session, then TOT is sure to happen.
The International Film Series is a yearly occurrence with a different theme each time. By the time you read this there will still be time to watch half of the films chosen for this year (with the theme of: Education). Although it isn’t as regular as TOT, it gives us two weeks’ worth of quality entertainment.
Finally, if you feel like you need something to look towards: In the Fall semester the college hosts “Friday on the Quad” (FOTQs) in which, for several weeks, there is food served, entertainment, and good company set up on the front quad for students, faculty, and staff to enjoy. Having a fun place to hang out and enjoy regularly can make the college experience easier. So go to events and have fun!
