As assignments pile on and exams are on the horizon we find our days gloomier and colder. Whether you live in a single, a double, a suite, or an apartment. We deserve to have a cozy space ready for the holidays. Decorations can help brighten your day when you come home after a particularly hard day, and they don’t have to be expensive or complicated at all!
If you are looking to decorate for winter itself, construction paper is your best friend. Try folding a piece of paper into three equal sides and fold them like a pamphlet. Now draw the general shape of a snowman and cut it! Make sure to cut the arms all the way to the end of the paper so that the snowmen can hold hands. Decorate with colorful markers and you are all set! These are great decorations for your door.
For the holidays, think small-scale yet functional. I have the belief that everything small is automatically cuter. For example, a small Christmas tree that you are able to decorate with small ornaments, a small menorah, etc. The goal is to still feel the holiday spirit in a way that doesn’t get in your way when you are trying to get to your desk.
With finals approaching, finding time to create a nice and relaxing environment you want to come back to is crucial. And with so many DIY decorations to make it can even become something to unwind with after an exam. The most important part is to have fun and express your creativity.
