As you navigate your first semester at Roanoke College, you might find yourself getting lost all the time. It’s normal to go through this as you adapt to a new environment. As a returning student, I know how difficult it was to get around the first couple of weeks, which leads me to a guide to important places to get to know at Roanoke College.
Whether you need help with loan paperwork or information about your financial aid packet, the financial aid office is an important place to know. To find it, follow the sidewalk where the Fintel library is. If you face the front of the library, you can easily walk to your left, and you will find the Financial Aid office between Olin and the library.
Health & Services is available for you whenever you aren’t feeling your best, whether it’s a physical injury or a regular cold. Health and services will inform your professors if there is a time you aren’t able to attend class, and you can visit if you need over-the-counter medicine such as regular painkillers. This will be the building next to Morehead. To find the entrance, you will have to go around to the sidewalk next to High Street. From there, you will see a ramp leading you to the door.
Finally, Campus Safety can help whether you have safety concerns, need parking passes, or an ID replacement. If you need to go in person, you will just need to get to Main Street, and you will find the office right next to Freshens.
