The 66th Annual Salem Christmas Parade returns tonight, presented by the Kiwanis Club of Salem, filling the town with festive lights, decorations, and the holiday spirit.
Beginning at 6:15p.m., the event kicks off with the ceremonial lighting of the Salem Christmas tree on the front lawn of the Public Library. The parade begins fifteen minutes later.
The festivities will be throughout downtown Salem, specifically Main St and College Ave. Parade features include generously decorated floats, local bands, and creative performers throughout the evening.
The special guest, Santa Claus will finish the parade on a Salem fire truck.
Moreover, the holiday decorations throughout downtown will remain in place through the holiday season, spreading joy throughout our community.
If you cannot attend the parade, local news stations such as WFXR News will be broadcasting live on air and on their website.
It is not every day a holiday celebration occurs so close to the college, do not miss this!
