Baseball:

The baseball team(12-12, 9-2 ODAC) started off the week strong with a 9-7 win over Ferrum on Wednesday night. In the bottom of the seventh, Roanoke capitalized on four runs and ultimately sealed the lead. Upcoming, the team has an Alumni Weekend double header against Virginia Wesleyan starting at 12pm on Saturday.

Softball:

Our softball team(15-12, 5-5 ODAC) fell to Shenandoah in a double header last weeked, 6-1, 4-1. In a search to rebound, the team is traveling to Guildford on Saturday to battle an ODAC rival in a double header beginning at 1pm. On Sunday, they will face off with Averett in another double header starting at 1pm.

Men’s Lacrosse: The men’s lacrosse team(8-4, 4-1 ODAC) found its groove earlier in the week after cruising to a 27-3 win over Randolph. Jack Warren led the charge with four goals while Matthew Litner and Jack Larkin added three more each. Looking ahead, the team travels to Lynchburg to face off in a classic ODAC matchup. The game will begin at 7pm on Friday night.

Women’s Lacrosse: The women’s lacrosse team(6-5, 1-2 ODAC) were defeated by Lynchburg in an 11-10 nail biter. Katie Clements had five goals in their efforts. Currently in a rough patch, their next matchup is against Bridgewater at Kerr Stadium starting at noon. Following that, the team has an early week game on Tuesday as they travel to play Randolph at 7pm.

Men’s Tennis: The men’s tennis team(6-8) lost to Southern Virginia 7-2 last weekend. In their next match back on the court, the team traveled to Randolph on Thursday, bringing home the victory 6-3. They compete again at home against Guilford on Sunday at 3pm.

Women’s Tennis: Our women’s tennis team(7-5) is has dropped the past two matches, 8-1 and 5-4, against Southern Virginia and Randolph, respectively. Upcoming, they have a match at home against Bridgewater on Wednesday of next week at 3pm.

Track and Field:

Last weekend our men’s and women’s track track and field teams competed in the Fred Hardy Invitational at the University of Richmond. Both teams had quite a few athletes place including Claire Trotto placing first in the pole vault and Chamberlain Zulauf placed seventh in the 3000M. This weekend, the teams will travel to Elon University to compete in the Phoenix Invitational.
