RC Football Fans React to Super Bowl LII

Written by Garrett Ruggieri

Super Bowl LII between the New England Patriots and Philadelphia Eagles featured some of the world’s finest talents on Sunday, February 4. The ageless Patriots quarterback, Tom Brady and Eagles backup quarterback, Nick Foles dueled it out on the biggest stage, competing to become world champions and bring their respective cities home a Lombardi trophy. In a high flying, pedal to the medal performance by both teams from start to finish, the Eagles eventually held on the knock off the Patriots, 41-33, and claim their first Super Bowl in team history. After this historical game, RC fans reacted:

Reed Larson, Patriots Fan

“It was a disappointing game as a Patriots fan, but the Eagles came to play. You have to give credit to Eagles head coach Doug Pederson and his game plan.”

Megan Wheeler, Patriots Fan

“I was very upset, especially because the Patriots always seem to be the team who comes up with the clutch play at the end. So, seeing Tom Brady get strip sacked right at the end was pretty hard.”

Colin Mattice, Eagles Fan

“It was honestly one of the best games I’ve ever watched. And it feels even better to beat Tom Brady and Bill Bellichick. And, even better, the Birds are going to be good for a very long time.”

Celine Taylor, Eagles Fan

“I was in shock and couldn’t believe that it actually happened because of how past Super Bowls with the Patriots have gone, for example, last year. I was super happy though!”
