With the start of every great semester comes an exciting roster of new events, so if you’re bored and looking for free prizes, exhilarating thrills, and fun activities, the Entertainment section will be your guide.
Something entirely new that will occur every single week throughout the fall semester is the all-new Tuesday Night LIVE, featuring wonderful hosts Kate and Liz! Every Tuesday from 7 PM to 9 PM, a new and unique event will be held in the Cavern, where students can either watch, participate, and, of course, win free prizes. Last Tuesday, on September 2nd, was a gameshow night, stylized like Family Feud and/or Jeopardy. The winners won a bunch of Lego packs. One I’m quite excited for is on September 16th: a riveting murder mystery. I highly recommend bringing a friend or two to check out at least one of them!
If you aren’t aware of CAB–otherwise known as the Campus Activity Board–they’re the go-to organization when it comes to creative events. An example is today; there will be an Appreciation FOTQ (Friday On The Quad) running from 4:30 PM to 6:00 PM, so don’t miss the free food. Another CAB event garnering a surplus of attention is the Sleepover Arcade on September 12th, from 8 PM to 12 AM in the Colket Center. It’s a combination between a retro paradise of classic arcade machines alongside a cozy ‘Noke sleepover, a perfect balance between chaos and order. I’ve heard some major prizes are to be held there, but I don’t want to spoil the surprise, so check it out for yourself!
