How is it already Fall 2025? Well, the organization YoungLife brought the community closer than ever with Welcome Week! From Tuesday, August 26th to September 2nd, YoungLife, a community that centers on leaders building meaningful friendships to share the gospel in relatable ways, held different events that had everyone hype for the semester!
They started Welcome Week strong with Puppies and Pints on the Back quad! This entailed seeing everyone back on campus, meeting some YoungLife dogs, and sharing a sweet treat. There was also cornhole and spike-ball, which got EVERYONE hype for the year! The next day had free doughnuts at Morehead Hall (which is where Homebase, co-ed Bible Study where students connect and learn, is held on Wednesdays at 8 pm) as well as a couple rounds of Kickball on the back quad later that night after classes.
One of the most memorable events was the Welcome Week Cookout and the Bonfire and S’mores! Over at the Marion Volleyball courts on August 30th, free food and fun rounds of Volleyball ensued! Everybody enjoyed getting to know each other and connecting with the accepting community. The S’mores on September 1st was a beautiful way to start a full week of classes. Similarly, everyone was having a blast being back together (and welcoming new participants as well!)
To end off Welcome Week, a game of Sardines (reverse Hide and Seek) was played on September 2nd, which had everyone laughing at all the creative places people were hiding.
