Olin Hall

Most of us can easily locate Olin Hall, the complicated-to-navigate home of our arts. If you are ever interested in drawing, photography, acting, joining the choir, or anything else related to the fine arts you can be sure that you will have to spend some time learning the layout. Fortunately, fun events occur in the more accessible and easier to get to part of Olin, The Olin Hall Theater and Galleries.

The Olin Hall Galleries holds a collection of art pieces created by Roanoke College’s art majors and minors. Students are welcome to visit at any time from 1 pm to 4 pm apart from during holidays and breaks. If you want to be part of the most recent exhibition students are welcome to attend the reception for a new wave of fresh art pieces that will be displayed in the galleries on Friday, April 4th. The opening reception will begin at 6:30 pm and end at 8:30 pm with awards announced at 7 pm so be sure to join and observe the creative minds these artists offer.

The fun continues a week later with the opening of the production “POTUS Or, Behind Every Great Dumbass Are Seven Women Trying to Keep Him Alive” by Selina Fillinger. The show, directed by Mya Brown, is a fun and high-energy play that will leave you falling out of your seat laughing while also tackling real issues that people might shy away from. The show will be held from April 10th to April 12th at 7:30 pm every night in The Olin Hall Theater. Be sure not to miss these events and to always check daily emails to see more fun activities happening in Olin.
