Your Fave Gossip Columnist

Hello Roanoke College, your Editor-In-Chief here. Remember how Kate thought she had found the love of her life? Well, it didn’t take long for your favorite girl-next-door to lose interest in poor Peter. We should’ve seen this coming, though, as this is on par with typical Kate behavior- finds a new boy, charms him with her smile, talks to him for a few days, and then is ready for the next one. A few boys here and there have broken that trend, of course, but those are the ones that aren’t as easily charmed.

So, what has Kate been up to now that her new love interest has become just a regular boy in her life? Let’s just say she has been everywhere and nowhere at the same time, and if there’s one thing we’ve noticed- she is thriving.

We think Fall Break was just what Kate needed to get her life together, priorities in order, and her confidence back. Now that we think about it, that’s a totally fair thing. We know how busy Kate is, which is not atypical for college students these days, and taking a mental break is something we all need.

Since then, Kate has been seen dressed in chic business wear meeting with the town’s elite professionals… no, not boys. This new Kate has stunned her friends as they have continued to ask her about the boys and her life. She just looks at them confused, and says there are none. At first, we all thought this was a lie, but it appears as though she really is and has been boy-interest-free (except for a minor flirtation here and there, but how could she not have those).

This career-minded Kate seems determined to live up to her family’s legacy of hard work and success, and it seems as though she’s fully capable of doing it on her own. She’s been networking in the community and paying Career Services quite a few visits- anything to get her set up for the summer and senior year.

With the Thanksgiving holiday getting ready to roll through, it looks like her cousins will be hearing more about job interviews than about dates, and that’s not a bad thing.

You know you love me,

XOXO
