Rumors around campus have spread about a junior finding a cat that then followed him back to his dorm. Many people don’t believe this, considering he lives on the top floor of the building. However, the junior claims that it was a very insistent cat who kept meowing the whole way up. According to the junior, the cat began following him and his girlfriend as they walked back from Cavern. From there a series of events led to the cat ending up in his dorm room.
The pair gave the cat a sip of water, but the cat kept insisting on drinking the soda from his cavern cup. Hence, this is when the junior decided to name the cat “Pepsi.” After spending some time outside, the pair began to walk to the main door of the dorm, and Pepsi walked alongside them the whole way. They held the door open, and the cat walked right in. From there, Pepsi explored one of their dorm rooms and settled into a laundry hamper, making herself at home, as cats do.
After much debating, the junior decided to keep Pepsi for the night. “Pepsi was so cute and little…it was too hard to just let her go back outside at night,” the junior said. The junior properly prepared his room for the cat by providing it with a shoebox, some torn up newspaper, a water dish, and a roommate agreement form since it was staying the night.
The next day came and after much marketing, Pepsi was finally returned to her rightful owner. While the Junior misses Pepsi dearly, he is happy that she is safe and home again. As for whether the cat actually “followed him” up to the room is still up for debate and when asked to comment on the issue Pepsi simply replied with a long meow.
