It’s Libra Season!

Written by Caisi Calandra

Even though the paper will be distributed on October 4, Libra season will have started on September 23 (shoutout to the Libras reading this!). Those born under the Libra constellation, which is from September 23 to October 22, are air signs. Air signs are often considered to be as cool as a cucumber, especially under pressure, and they’re charming as hell. Libras are often cool and charming because their sign is ruled by Venus, the planet of beauty. They’re known for their self-care routines, their interest in fashion, and their obsession with beautiful things — maybe even their own aesthetic, though a Libra would never admit that sort of thing out loud. A Libra’s best friend is a Taurus, so check if your best friend was born between April 20 and May 20. And, well, Libras hit it off with Aries in the bedroom, so check if your significant other was born between March 21 and April 19.

Now that we’ve got some cute little facts out of the way, we’ll be moving onto your monthly horoscope. When we enter Libra season, Venus (the planet that rules your sign) and Mercury will be present, giving off romantic and communicative vibes. If you’re hitting it off with someone new and can’t get enough of them (and vice versa, hopefully) — this is why! Because Venus is with you during this season, you might feel even more positive than usual. This is just your natural side coming out after being in the tailend of whatever Virgo season was. You may feel the need to go on a shopping spree or treat yourself to a few nights at a bar, and hit up someone who’s been on your mind recently. It’s your season again, and you’re finally feeling at home! Definitely take advantage of the beginning of October and thrive.

There are two important lunar dates that you should take note of, though. The new moon will be happening on September 28. New moons signify not only a new beginning, but a time to heal from whatever’s been bugging you lately. It’s less “clean slate” and more “I’m accepting this and moving on.” Secondly, there will be a full moon on October 13, in Aries no less. Full moons are chaotic, and so are Aries, but they’ll sort of cancel each other out and turn any chaos you might be experiencing into a moment of bravery. If you have something on your mind around the 13, you’ll feel bold and powerful. Pull off something risky — it might pay off.
