About a month ago, I went to see Prince Caspian sing live in Washington D.C. at the Lincoln Theater. There are 12 songs, and the album comes to about 43 minutes.

While every song on this album could be deeply analyzed, specific songs everyone should take a gander at are “Beloved”, “Where The Light Gets In”, “Take Me To The Moon”, and “Three New Hearts.”

Starting with “Beloved,” this song is for anyone struggling to receive the love they deserve. This slow but funky bop is such a fun song to hear since the lyrics directly reflect the drums and guitar within the song.

“Take Me To The Moon” is my favorite song on the album. The app Airbuds told me I listened to that song 10 times in one sitting once. This is a romantic song about longing for escape and connection with someone special. This melodic arrangement hits you with its gentle yet powerful instrumentation, no wonder it’s on repeat!

Lastly, “Three New Hearts” is a deeply personal and emotional song about the transformation of love. The lyrics portray a change that happens when devotion, protection, and an overwhelming feeling of being reshaped by love take hold. This is the first song on the album to made me cry since I felt the lyrics so deeply. The gratitude within these lyrics never fails to amaze me.

You can check out “Where The Light Gets In” on Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube Music, and Pandora.

Sabrina Rogers

Entertainment Editor

Whether you know him as Ben Barnes or Prince Caspian, he can sing!
