{"id":8181,"date":"2025-01-30T23:24:02","date_gmt":"2025-01-31T04:24:02","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/brackety-ack.com\/?p=8181"},"modified":"2025-01-30T23:24:02","modified_gmt":"2025-01-31T04:24:02","slug":"folk-of-noke-joshua-mcclary","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/brackety-ack.com\/?p=8181","title":{"rendered":"Folk of \u2018Noke: Joshua McClary"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0Joshua McClary is a senior from Charlotte, North Carolina, double-majoring in Marketing and Business Administration.\u00a0 He plays for the men\u2019s basketball team as a point guard and wears jersey #04.\u00a0 McClary contributes to the team off the court as well when he helps with game operations out of season.\u00a0 He is also a part of Maroon Ambassadors.\u00a0 His plan for after graduation is to return for the MBA program and possibly help out with the team as much as he can.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0When it came to why he chose Roanoke College, McClary said \u201cI planned to be on the team here and when I visited the campus really stood out to me.\u00a0 The environment<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">of everything, it was pretty cool and felt familiar in a way.\u00a0 Like I felt comfortable enough to come here and felt like everybody had my back.\u00a0 That feeling has definitely continued through my time here, and the connections I&#8217;ve made here have been really nice.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u201cOn my May Term last May, we went to a Salem Red Sox game which was pretty cool.\u00a0 I think it was my first time going so that&#8217;s awesome.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u201cI started playing basketball around second grade so for my whole life basically.\u00a0 I kind of tried every sport when I was really young, and once it was like fourth grade I stopped playing every sport except basketball.\u00a0 One of my main reasons for choosing basketball was its being inside and the air conditioning was nice.\u00a0 I wasn&#8217;t a big outside sports person in the first place, so I think that&#8217;s probably why I picked basketball.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u201cI collect vinyls. I really like music so that&#8217;s my way of showing that.\u00a0 I have three of J.
