My friends and I call this time \u201chell week,\u201d which we find to be a rather humorous nickname for what could be considered the absolute worst week in the semester. If you\u2019re doing great right now, I\u2019m glad for you! And if you\u2019re struggling like me, you\u2019re not alone.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">As the title suggests, this is an open love letter to my fellow Maroons. I love you. All of you. We\u2019re a community here at Roanoke College. I love the students I see across campus at all hours of the day. I love the professors who provide the very foundation of what a college should be. I love the charming buildings. I love the staff who ensure that the student experience remains as excellent as possible. I love the plants and animals making their home here, and I love the mountains and the sky that provide the backdrop for the work of art that is Roanoke College. I love my friends who support me unconditionally, and I love my classmates, who I may not be as close with but they are no less significant. I love the strangers who show moments of kindness every single day, and I love the girl and the boy that have made me a constant in their lives.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">To me, love is unconditional, and it isn\u2019t exclusive. I believe that love is happiness, and I am happy here. As we head into this next \u201chell week\u201d and into the holiday break, I urge you all to think about all the love in your own hearts.
