Jim Nichols (he\/him) is a senior from Montpelier, VA majoring in environmental studies. He is a member of the Marmot Book Club, Culinary Club, Lego Club, RC Pride, and Board Game Club. If you run into him at ToT or anywhere else on campus, there will be no shortage of fabulous stories to brighten your day.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n \u201cOne of my main hobbies is picking a random country, finding some old and obscure food that is almost totally forgotten from that country, and finding my way to make it. I can do difficult recipes with no trouble only to create a mess with simple foods. Like I can make a Pavlova easily but I\u2019m terrible with scrambled eggs.\u201d\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n \u201cI think the Pacific Northwest Mayterm was the best trip I’ve been on in general. I think that I got to experience so many unique things that I would\u2019ve never gotten the opportunity to experience otherwise. It has given me a different perspective on a lot of things and the village we visited, Holden Village, has given me a backup plan in case I need to live in the woods.\u201d I highly recommend learning about Holden Village if you\u2019re interested in the intersections of spirituality and sustainability!\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n As the tradition goes, we finish with gratitude.
