I have 7 classes, numerous<br \/>\nclubs and activities, and 4 jobs on campus plus a pending<br \/>\njob off campus. I often schedule out my life to the point<br \/>\nwhere my calendar is more full than it is empty. If you<br \/>\nneed it, this is your sign to not do what I\u2019m doing. I love<br \/>\nmy life, but being busy all the time is unsustainable. So, I<br \/>\nmade a pact with my boyfriend to do something just for<br \/>\nus one weekend a month. My goal of visiting 5 national<br \/>\nparks this year goes perfectly alongside this pact so our<br \/>\nfirst trip is planned for the Great Smoky mountains next<br \/>\nweekend. I love hiking, camping, and climbing and all of<br \/>\nthese are available at the smokies. Because my boyfriend<br \/>\ndoesn\u2019t climb we won\u2019t be doing any of that, HOWEVER,<br \/>\nwe will be doing some camping in my new (thrifted for 3<br \/>\ndollars) MSR tent.<br \/>\nMy love for the outdoors is one of my biggest<br \/>\nincentives for living my life the way I do. It\u2019s part of why<br \/>\nI\u2019m going to law school for environmental law, and a huge<\/p>\n<p>reason I found my happiness and my passion. I love<br \/>\nhiking, camping, kayaking, climbing, and even caving<br \/>\nwhich is ironic given my claustrophobia. The outdoors<br \/>\nhas always been my home and I am incredibly happy to<br \/>\nadventure with my boyfriend who shares my passion and<br \/>\nlove for nature. Life is meant to be lived, not portioned<br \/>\nout as if you can control it all. These breaks remind me<br \/>\nwho I am, why I work as hard as I do, and ultimately what<br \/>\nmatters. I highly encourage anyone who is able to do so<br \/>\nto take a weekend or even a day trip with a significant<br \/>\nother or some friends. College gives us a plethora of<br \/>\nopportunities to live life to the fullest, I think we should all<br \/>\nbe taking advantage of that \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Written by Mikaela Gantz I am a very busy person.
