No two people will react<br \/>\nto any situation or thing the same way. It is our<br \/>\nindividualism that re-enforces this. No two people have<br \/>\nhad the same experiences so they can not expect to react<br \/>\nin the same ways. There are many things that we have in<br \/>\nlife that show this. Reality TV is one of these things. While<br \/>\nwatching reality television or shows like the HouseWives<br \/>\nof Potomac or Salt Lake City people have very different<br \/>\nreactions.<\/p>\n<p>I think that these shows are ridiculous and brilliant<br \/>\nall wrapped up into one thing. Even as I watch, I do not<br \/>\nknow why I am watching nor do I feel like I can stop. For<br \/>\nme, watching these shows is like watching a train wreck<br \/>\nwaiting to happen. There is a sense of adrenaline as they<br \/>\nyell at each other or conspire against one another. As the<br \/>\nviewer, I \u201cknow\u201d someone would take a comment the<br \/>\nwrong way. I know that the HouseWives can not possibly<br \/>\nlike each other as they constantly spit hateful remarks at<br \/>\none another. There is no way that this will not end badly<br \/>\nfor all of them. If it be a lawsuit for saying something about<br \/>\nanother person, on national television or just<br \/>\nbeing dragged through the media these never end well. I<br \/>\ndo wonder sometimes why someone would be on these<br \/>\nshows? What could be worth the extremely tentative<br \/>\nfriendships masking hateful monsters with pretty clothes<br \/>\nand makeup? It does not matter how much of it is for the<br \/>\ncamera.<\/p>\n<p>I don\u2019t think that anything could be worth being<br \/>\nin that atmosphere. No money, fame, or sense of purpose<br \/>\ncould make up for the hate. It takes a strong personality to<br \/>\nsurvive the ringer that these women must go through for<br \/>\nthe sake of television. Knowing that every move is<br \/>\nrecorded for the entertainment of others. No matter how<br \/>\nenjoyable this show is or how much fun I have watching it.<br \/>\nNo one on national TV should become hate in a dress.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Written by Nina Earle What is fun, comforting, or brings one happiness changes from person to person.
