As the Thanksgiving season approaches and the winter holiday festivities begin to close in on us, many may begin to wonder what exactly they might be able to do\u2013 especially over break, even if it may be a short one.<\/span><\/p>\n

A favorite to many, the Macy\u2019s Thanksgiving Day Parade has been a staple part of American household traditions since its original debut in 1924. Of course, the parade we see today has vastly changed since its original format (from using live zoo animals to instead balloons) many iconic characters will reveal themselves for all to see this November 23rd when Macy\u2019s begins the parade once more.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

This year, many familiar faces will once again be seen both live and over recordings for us to enjoy. From \u201cDragon Ball\u201d\u2019s Goku, \u201cThe Mandalorian\u201d\u2019s Grogu, to even newer editions like \u201cBluey\u201d namesake and main character herself. However, joining this lineup will be \u201cOne Piece\u201d main character Monkey D. Luffy, and The Pillsbury Doughboy to provide their own iconic twist to the parade.<\/span><\/p>\n

Speaking of iconic, what would the parade be without a little pizazz?\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

2023\u2019s performance lineup features familiar names such as Cher, Jax, and Pentatonix but it seems this year offers some new faces as well. Korean boy group ENHYPEN will be on the Pinkfong Baby Shark float according to the official lineup page, and Manuel Turizo, Colombian singer, will be on the LEGO Brick-Changer float.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

With floats in mind, it seems that we will also be seeing familiar and new sights. Joining this year\u2019s parade will be a \u201cPeanuts\u201d themed float called Camp Snoopy, \u201cGood Burger 2\u201d\u2019s very own Good Burger Mobile, and even a \u201cWonka\u201d themed parade known as the Deliciously Delectable World of Wonka to celebrate the momentous release of Warner Bros. Picture\u2019s \u201cWonka\u201d this December. Of course, familiar sights such as \u201cSesame Street\u201d and its 1-2-3 Sesame Street float and iconic Tom Turkey.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

In total, this year\u2019s parade will host 25 balloon characters, 6 balloonicles (balloon bicycles), 31 floats in total, 11 marching bands, 18 performers, 29 clown crews, and 7 performance groups.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Being hosted November 23rd, 2023 from 9am to 12pm (eastern standard time), Macy\u2019s Thanksgiving Day Parade will be available to watch on NBC and to stream on Peacock.
