{"id":7108,"date":"2023-02-24T20:49:30","date_gmt":"2023-02-25T01:49:30","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/brackety-ack.com\/?p=7108"},"modified":"2023-02-24T20:49:30","modified_gmt":"2023-02-25T01:49:30","slug":"a-playlist-to-match-the-weather","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/brackety-ack.com\/?p=7108","title":{"rendered":"A Playlist to Match the Weather"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>by Karen Kohler<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">With this unseasonably warm weather we have been getting, it is time to break out an upbeat playlist to match.\u00a0 One that you can sit out and bask in the sun, walk around campus, or drive with the windows down to.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">To start we have \u201cHenny in the Hamptons\u201dby Bren Joy, an R&amp;B track that kicks off with a little piano intro and features a smooth voice and layered, building vocals.\u00a0 Next is \u201cSuperfruit\u201d by Maude Latour, an electrifying pop track that will make you want to dance along and is perfect for walks or workouts.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Of course, \u201cCruel Summer\u201d by Taylor Swift has to make an appearance on this list.\u00a0 Summer is in the name and the vocals and production make it perfect to cruise to with the windows down.\u00a0 It also tells the perfect story of a summer fling potentially turning into something more.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cDaniel You\u2019re Still A Child&#8221; by Declan Mckenna stands out because it has the sound of a soda can opening that fits so well with the feel of a warm spring or summer day, as does the general instrumentation of the song.\u00a0 Japanese Breakfast has a few upbeat songs with fresh, unique production but \u201cBe Sweet&#8221; and &#8220;In Heaven\u201d are the obvious standout for this playlist.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The 1975 are also always a good contender for a fun, upbeat soundtrack.\u00a0 For this playlist we have \u201cIf You\u2019re Too Shy (Let me Know)\u201d with fun, overlapping lyrics you can\u2019t help but attempt to sing along to.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cPerfect Places\u201d by Lorde is perfect for a night out or getting ready for one. \u201cSummertime in Paris&#8221;
