They first traveled to Virginia Beach to take on Virginia Wesleyan. The team put on a stellar performance and knocked off the first seed Marlins in the quarterfinals.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The team then took on the Randolph-Macon Yellow Jackets, where they ultimately fell in the semifinals. Sophomore Rylee Mayor led the Maroons with nine kills and sophomore Peyton Kirchner was close behind with seven kills in the match. Sophomore setter Kylee Draper led the team with 24 assists with senior libero Kennedy Clemmer and freshman outside hitter Sydney Harrison close behind with 13 and 11 assists, respectively.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Following the loss, sophomore Peyton Kirchner was named to the All-ODAC second team for her performance this season. Earlier in the season, Kirchner earned ODAC Player of the Week honors once in September and once in October. She finished the season with 293 kills, 77 blocks, 72 digs, 39 aces and six assists.
