It\u2019s been a windy, twisty, rocky kind of road but, here you are at graduation! Now that you are thrown into the scary world outside of the walls of the home we call Roanoke College, a couple of your professors wanted to share words of wisdom and congratulations.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Dr. Jennifer Berenson of the Religion and Philosophy department imparts this advice to the graduating class, \u201cCultivate openness and take the time to learn to love things that may not come naturally to you\u2014especially cooking and gardening. You\u2019re likely to spend a good deal of life on these mundane tasks, and you\u2019ll be much happier if you find a way to make them enjoyable for yourself!\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Dr. Jennifer Jackl of the English and Communications department wishes the class of 2021 well saying, \u201cTo the cohort, I was lucky enough to be a Freshman with: May your days be filled with adventure, may you never grow weary of making the world a better place, and may the spirit of Roanoke College enable you to lead with purpose. I will miss you, but look forward to seeing what you do next to make me and the rest of RC proud!\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">As you leave behind Roanoke and move onto the next stage in life, don\u2019t forget the professors and mentors you have met. They certainly won\u2019t forget you, and neither will we! Congratulations Class of 2021!
