I am now freshly 22-year-old, and unless something crazy happens, this is my last semester writing for the Brackety-Ack. \ud83d\ude41 With that, I decided it would be fun for my final column to be \u201c22 Things\u2026\u201d where I can sometimes share advice, list my favorites, or give some insight.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Stargaze at the Roanoke Star<\/b>– you\u2019ll probably spend more time driving than you will at the top, but it\u2019s worth it!<\/span><\/p>\n

Win at BINGO<\/b> (bonus points for being one of the announcers)<\/span><\/p>\n

Order a calzone at Mac N\u2019 Bobs<\/b> (or split one with a friend)<\/span><\/p>\n

Have a conversation with President Maxey<\/b><\/p>\n

Play sand volleyball<\/b>– you\u2019ll have to stake your claim fast because the courts fill up quickly on a nice day.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Get free wings at midnight on a Wednesday from Mac N\u2019 Bobs<\/b><\/p>\n

Play an intramural sport or do a workout class<\/b>– you get a free shirt if your team wins!<\/span><\/p>\n

Show off your line dancing moves at Sidewinders on a Tuesday night<\/b>– bring out those cowboy or cowgirl boots.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Check out a choir concert or RC Theatre production<\/b>– they are truly the hidden gems of campus.<\/span><\/p>\n

Hike McAfee\u2019s Knob<\/b>– definitely stretch beforehand!<\/span><\/p>\n

Watch the sunset on the roof of Center in the Square<\/b><\/p>\n

Go on a picnic or a run at Green Hill Park<\/b><\/p>\n

Host your own radio show<\/b>– for a whole hour once a week you can talk about or play almost anything.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Host your own tailgate before your favorite sporting event<\/b>– who says you have to have football to tailgate?<\/span><\/p>\n

Belt your heart out at Karaoke Night or perform at Roanoke\u2019s Got Talent<\/b><\/p>\n

List five brews at Olde Salem<\/b>– their Suit and Tie won awards!<\/span><\/p>\n

Take a day trip to Smith Mountain Lake or Claytor Lake<\/b>– both are less than an hour away.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Get a free t-shirt at Pack the MAQ<\/b><\/p>\n

Direct or star in a Basically Tarantino film<\/b>– here\u2019s your chance to have your \u201cHollywood moment\u201d\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Help build a house during R-House<\/b> (bonus points if you help after freshman orientation)\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Paint the Rock<\/b><\/p>\n
