Then here’s a drink to remind you of the beloved Samoas!

Coconut Caramel Coffee

(This one can be served either hot or iced)

Ingredients: any coffee of your choosing, any dairy of your choosing, caramel flavored syrup, coconut flavored syrup (or extract), and any sweetener of your choosing (optional)

Note – I personally use almond milk instead of dairy for this particular drink if not another dairy alternative. For all flavor syrups, I typically use the brand Torani. There is a sugar-free option for every flavor that they offer.

Directions:

Prepare a regular cup of coffee, however you normally would. For me, this means putting a regular coffee k-cup into my Keurig and pushing the button of the biggest available size.

Once your coffee is finished brewing, you’re all set to start adding to it.

Add your chosen dairy and/or sweetener.

For the flavor syrups/extracts, add equal parts of the two flavors. However, you can always add more of one if you’d prefer that particular flavor to be stronger.

Stir well. Please note that it will mix and dissolve much better if served hot, but you can always add or pour over ice afterwards.

This is the perfect drink for those transitional days between the months of summer and fall.

Maple Cold Brew

Source: bonappetit.com

Ingredients: cold brew, maple syrup, and any dairy of your choosing

Note – The article where I found this drink recommends that you use whole milk.

Directions:

Prepare a cup of cold brew coffee, whether this means brewing your own or purchasing it from your local grocery store.

Add maple (to swap out sugar/simple syrups that are traditionally used in coffee drinks).

Stir well.

This one is served best when garnished with whipped cream and additional cinnamon – creating a seasonal treat.

Cinnamon Coffee

Source: Foodnetwork.com

Ingredients: ¾ cup ground coffee (dark roast, regular, or decaffeinated), ¼ cup brown sugar, 2 tablespoons cinnamon, ½ teaspoon vanilla extract, and water

Note – This one is meant for hot coffee brewed in a standard coffee maker, not a Keurig. Also, you can choose to use cinnamon extract in place of the vanilla extract, omitting the ground cinnamon.

Directions:

Place coffee, sugar, and cinnamon in filter in brew basket of coffee maker.

Place vanilla in empty pot of coffee maker.

Add water to coffee maker. Brew as directed.

Pour into serving cups.

Written by Marisa Seager I don’t know about you, but as the seasons begin to change, I get most excited about one thing… the introduction of fall drinks, such as coffee.
